1997 Nissan Altima Rough Idle With No Check Engine Light On?

Engine light is not coming on. Trying to fix a rough idle problem and would the idle control valve, map sensor or the throttle body sensor throw a code if any one of them was not function correctly?
Any simple way of checking them with a meter to see if they are within specs? 1997 Nissan Altima 4cyl, AT, federal emissions
Rough idle, is not stalling, seems to run fine except for rough idle condition-
any suggestions appreciated

check your connections to your battery, and wiggle them a little bit, it could fix it and you may just have a bad connection that is a free fix pretty much :) good luck
