Hi I have a 1998 GMC Z71 with the 5.7L motor and a 5 speed and I currently have a Airaid throttle body spacer on it and I would like to add a nice intake to my truck and I am honestly debating between a K&N FIPK cold air intake and a Volant cold air intake I know that the Volant has a inclosed box to block the heat from the motor and the K&N does not, I recently put a K&N FIPK intake on my wife's 2003 Trailblazer with a Airaid throttle body spacer (AND I DID NOTICE BETTER PERFORMANCE) so please don't tell me that they don't make a difference because I know from personal experience that they do I just want to know if Volant is a better intake than K&N, I have never used Volant before but I hear that they are really good on Chevy's which one would be better for my GMC? Serious answers only please Thanks.
