...to another and how do you do it? I have two tropical fish tanks, one that has only fry in it. The fry were born from a Balloon Molly and a Cremsicle Lyretail around the beginning of October. The tank that the parents are in has community and semi-aggressive fish.

After the fry were born we soon transfered them into another tank. Only 2 survivied (we are not fish experts). Now we want to place them in the original tank so we can make there tank a shark tank of some sort.

Basically I want to know how can you be sure the fry are big enough to be around fully grown adult fish? I am particularly concerned about our Gourami eating them. They are about 4-5 months old. Also, are there any tricks to transfer fish from one tank to another?

Look at the size of the fry and look at the size of the mouths of the other fish if you think they are small enough to fit into their mouths they will become snacks, unless you have plenty of plants and hiding spots however they still might get eaten.
If both of your tanks are the same temp there should be no problem I take a jug with the water from the tank I am transferring them into place the fry in the jug and pour into the other tank I have never had problems. Good Luck
