I have received two traffic violations this month, one for speeding (going approx. 80mph in a 55 mph zone) and one for not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign. Both have a value of one driving record point. I was wondering if the reason for the driving record point matters when it comes to insurance rates. Is it better to take traffic school and remove the speeding violation point or does it even matter?
