So my son just turned 2, 3 days ago. He was always such an easy going boy and never had a problem with his behaviour or sleep patterns. Its seems as though ever since he has turned 2 he is totally different!!!!!! He used to go to bed at 8pm and be up by 7:30-8am.. and he would wake up happy. Now he doesnt go to bed until 10 some nights and when I try to put him to bed earlier, he SCREAMS bloody muder for ever until I go and cuddle him to sleep!!! Then hes up by 5:30am doing the same thing. This morning, he was so mad that he jumped out of his crib and banged his nose and head. I dont know what to do!! We are both not getting any sleep, leaving us both very miserable all day long!!!!!!
Here are some things that have been going on lately...
He started daycare 3x a week a few weeks ago.. seems to do well, but hates when I leave him. He just got over an ear infection. He was sick with the flu for 4 days (as was I) so I cuddled him for the whole time he was sick, now Im thinking he expects that everytime.
Please dont tell me to just let him cry it out.. because I tried that this morning and he screamed at the top of his lungs for 45 mins then jumped out of his crib and hurt himself. Also I live in a townhouse with very thin walls so I dont want my neighbours who need their sleep to be woken at dawn by a screaming child.
I just dont know what to do!! I feel like I have tried everything and nothing is working.. I want my old son back!!!!!! :S
