I have a 2000 Honda Civic that is having a hard time taking off. When I'm at a complete stop, release the brake and then press the gas, the car hesitates (1-2 seconds) before getting full power. However, once up to speed it has no problems shifting or accelerating and if it's rolling (California stop at stop signs, lights, etc) it has no problem taking off again as long as it is not completely stopped.
I have tried the following:
Replace spark plugs and spark plug wires
Replace fuel filter, air filter
I did the following prior to it doing this (about 6 months before):
Change to synthetic oil
Drilled/slotted rotors and 1 new caliper
Not sure what else to check. For those 1-2 seconds it bounces between 1500-2500 rpm and then runs normal. Anybody have any ideas?
