I have a 2000 Honda CR-V and about a year ago the remote died. Until now, I have not replaced the remote and have just been using the key to lock/unlock the car.
A couple days ago my battery died which set off the alarm (according to my manual it's supposed to do that to indicate a bad battery). I disconnected the battery and took it in to buy a new one. Now that the new battery is in, my alarm on the car is activated and I cannot turn it off without my remote working. Is there anything I can do until I get my remote fixed?
