This noise seemed to start when I had the front tires replaced about a year ago. I decided to buy cheaper, used tires (I don't know why) that were the wrong size. After maybe 500 miles, the noise started driving me friggin nuts so I purchased 4 brand new tires and replaced all at same time.
The dam noise is still there. I was sure it was the nearly bald front tires but I still hear it. Maybe louder than before. It sounds kinda like driving over gravel. It's a strange almost dull grinding sound. Gives me a headache sometimes. It's so loud I can't even hear my cell phone ring. I want to know what this noise is. The brakes are fine. Could it be the alignment? The bearings? The struts? The transmission(please god, no)?? Somebody must know what this is from. The car has 160,000 with no prior issues.
