My car was rear ended at a red light four weeks ago and has been at a body shop getting extensive rear end repairs. I went to pick up my car today and a block or two after I pull out of the lot I realize that the dash panel of my car isn't responding. No display on the electronic odomiter and rpm and mph gage isn't responding. A couple more blocks away I stop at a red light and when I try to accelerate nothing happens. The car moves slowly in gear but doesn't respond to the accelerator. When the car is in park I can rev the engine but not in 1st, 2nd, drive, or reverse. I immediately called the shop and they took it back but it was the end of the day and I have to wait until Monday to find out what's up. Anybody have any idea what this is all about? Easy fix or am I looking at some headaches?

try looking in the owners manual for a fuel shut off. some cars have one that in an accident, it will shut down the fuel system, they dont always work right. almost never. if it has one they simple to reset. the manual should be able to walk you through it

It sounds like there may be more damage than what the body shop found. Could be a bunch of headaches.
