I am looking to an CAI for my 2008 Honda civic sedan LX. I just want it for the sound really, not going for any performance since it's only 140hp. I am going to buy an intake off of ebay from a seller with a high rep., then possibly put on a K&N filter but I've heard somethings about them. Like they suck in dirt to my cylinders, which no one wants ! So should I just buy an ebay CAI? Spending 200+ for a 140hp vehicle in my opinion seems useless.
Does my air intake necessarily HAVE to come to the bottom of the ground, or can it just sit under the hood? I think for newer model cars your intake generally will come out near your left front tire. I just want to make sure.
