...registering consoles? Well I bought a refurbished 360 off eBay a month ago. It works well, loud, but it works. It is the Falcon model. It was made about exactly a year ago. So I know in order to find out about warranty's and stuff, you have to register your console on xbox.com
the thing is the refurbished console was already registered by someone else, I'm guessing the previous owner. Well i know they have an extended 3 year warranty for the red rings. And about 1 year for refurbished consoles. My 360 has not been opened, stickers are there. It even came with the New Xbox Experience so i know it was refurbished not too long ago. After MS refurbishes a console, does it automatically go on the 1 year warranty, even if you get the red rings?
What do i exactly need for it to get warrantied? i know that i don't need a receipt, but do I need something else proving I bought it? like the paypal transaction receipt?
Can I send the console in even though its not registered under my name?
If I call MS, and they ask me for my serial number, do i need to tell them my situation about buying it off ebay?
Will they ask who the console was registered to?
Am I covered for the red rings under the 3 year rule?
And exactly what do they ask for when I call to ask about wheter my 360 is still under warranty?
thanks!sorry for all the questions guys!
