4.2 Wii Homebrew Newbie Question?

i would like to know how to be able to play backup games and
what website is there where i can can backup my games.
Also how do i format my sd into fat16 or 32.
i have watched many videos and tuturials and websites i am lost.
also must i unlock my wii with something such as BreWii before i soft mod my wii?
or can i do it without.

1.to play backups you need homebrew. To backup your own games you need a special optical drive, or just google wiiso.com (needs free registration)
2.to format SD card put it into the card reader slot on your computer. Now when the window opens check the directory on the right side. Now right click the removable disk containing the card and select format. Change it to Fat and 32 kilobytes creating a FAT32 (IMO better then FAT16).
3.YOU DO NOT NEED BREWii. That is a scam. It uses the bannerbomb exploit which is free. So yes you can do it without BREWii.
