I just finished this book, the bell jar by Plath and I thought it was EXCELLENT! To anyone that's read it, I have a few questions about it that I been pondering....
1. why did Esther keep those blood marks on her cheeks after Marco (that douchebag) tried to rape her at the party?
2. Why did Esther visit or try so hard to get to the Deer Island Prison, when she knew no one locked up in there?
3. Why did Esther make it a point to sit with that woman that wouldn't talk and keep visiting her?
4.WHAT exactly was the reason, Esther went into this downward depression and suicidal spiral in the first place, what triggered it?
if anyone can answer these q's I would be grateful
