58cm Schwinn 12 speed road bike?

I'm looking at a bike on craigslist and all it needs is a set of rims and tires what size would be the proper size for this type of bike?
i'm converting the bike into a fixed gear.
the bike i'm looking to buy will not come with any rims or tires....that's why i have no measurements.
 
The size of the tire is molded right into the side wall of the tire. Due to the age I suspect you are looking at a 27" tires rather than 700c. Again check the size on the sidewall of the tire which will give the diameter and the width.

BTW, a 58cm frame is a large bike. I hope that you are over 6' tall. Best of luck with your conversion.
