I have made a home theater system and I would like to know your opinion. I am looking for high quality and does not necessarily have to be loud. I have a Onkyo TX-SR608 7.2 receiver, Klipsch RS-10, RC-10, and RF-10, and a Polk Audio PSW505 subwoofer. All in all this whole package is $1800 on Amazon.com. I am going to be making a blu-ray 3d home theater system but I am NOT going to spend over $2000 and I wouldn't mind spending less for the same or higher quality...I am a quality freak.
Also this is going to be my first ever system and I am just 20 years old. Do you think I should just tone it down a little and get these speakers?

I really love the Onkyo receiver that I posted up here and I am 100% sure I am going to get that receiver.

Keep in mind the perceived SOUND quality depends GREATLY on your room.

If you shift your focus to build quality (durability, looks, etc..), then what you have selected should be fine for your budget.

If you shift your focus to SOUND quality (that's where it's at for me), then I would say the Onkyo is iffy. Pioneer Elite's (notice I said ELITE) offerings have impeccable quality from my experince (the VSX-21TXH looks to fit your budget).

When you say quality, that says to me you would rather have quality than lots of features.

Polk makes pretty good subwoofers for the price, although the quality of that unit does not seem to be near the rest of the speakers. I highly recommend taking a look at HSU.

As for the speakers, since they're all made to work together, it'd be hard to do any better for the price limitation.

If you are sure about the Onkyo, it IS a good receiver.

It may be good to slowly build your system over time, as well, rather than letting quality suffer from going all at once.

Spend $500 and put the rest in a certificate of deposit at your local bank. If you don't need loud, you can even include the blu ray in that price.

Only Quality Freaks are going to know what your buying if you pay $1800
