7 week old waking and screaming?

My 7 week old has suddenly been waking 15 minutes into a sleep during the day and at bedtime. I put her down when she is sleepy and in the past she has been settling herself to sleep. I make sure she is changed, fed and winded. Now she is finding it hard to even get to sleep and when she does she suddenly opens her eyes and starts screaming. I go in and settle her down but she does the same thing over and over. She had her vaccinations last week and was fine in the days afterwards but started acting up after that. What can I do?

Sounds like you need to make a phone call to the pediatric, hun. Is she having gas? Try infant tylenol and or mylicon...My daughter gets gassy sometimes..(not collicy) and mylicon works. Have you tried the swing or gently bouncy her? It works for my baby girl. She just had her hep b vaccination on friday morning...she has been crying sooo much the last couple ofdays. i feel soo bad for her....but you do what you can do. Maybe give her a little bit of infant tylenol (0.4 ml) and see if that works...but def call the doctor tomorrow.

I would say she just realized there are lots of other stuff going on now and she want to stay awake to take it all in so to speak I would say make shure the room she is sleeping in is dark and there isn't any noise

she could be having growing pains. when they have growing pains, their bones hurt, and i think they just notice it more when they aren't stimulated by something, so at night when there's nothing to do it bothers them. check the spot where she got her shots to make sure it's not swelled up also. try getting one of those things that u put on the crib and it vibrates the mattress. that soothes them. it worked for mine.

Oh, I am sorry to hear that. I really don;t have an answer for you, except that I am dealing with night terrors with my 3 year old. It sounds kind of the same. Type in Night terrors and children on a google search and see if that can give you any help. Once again, I feel for you and hope that things get better. Try and rest when you can (Never mind the housework, or laundry) so that you can cope better with a newborn. It is hard. I know. Take care
