I have a 94 chevrolet k2500 suburban 454 with TBI. I am pretty sure I am going to stay with the TBI. But, I want to put a cam in and chip it. I am also putting an intake on it.

Here is my question, because I dont understand camshafts, and cant seem to find someone who does.

Should I go with
option (A)
duration at .050 is 216
gross lift is 274
separation is 112

or option (B)
Intake Duration at 050 inch Lift218
Exhaust Duration at 050 inch Lift228
Duration at 050 inch Lift218 int./228 exh.
Advertised Intake Duration292
Advertised Exhaust Duration302
Advertised Duration292 int./302 exh.

The first one is being cut by Schneider Racing cams, a local camshaft guy. The second is Edelbrock 2162.

I am looking for performance increase and a little bit of rough idle. Which one of there will give me the roughest idle. I realize they are both pretty smooth, but dont understand any of it.

Thanks for all your help. FYI, I put a 57 chevy apache on the suburban frame. I chopeed the roof and extended the bed. I now have a badass ratrod 4x4 3/4ton fullsize pickup that I use for work.
