ok i have had the code read 7 times now and have replaced the IAC Valve 3 times and the code p0507 keep coming back up as Idle Air Controller "RPM's To High" when i hit about 30mph its as if the cruise control kicks in and idle stays at 1500rpms until i come to a complete stop and it is killing my breaks and killing my gas millage. i have taken it to a couple mechanics and they are stumped i have checked the TPS and its good iunhooked the cruise control hoping that would solve the problem but it didnt. i cleaned all the wires and pluged them back in hard. it seems not to do it as much right after geting off the freeway. any help would be appreciated i will even pay $10 for the best answer that solves my problem just make sure to leave your email address after you post. i'm desperate and have already spent $1300 trying to figure out what it is and do not want to spend any more
vipassan i already had the IAC re-learned and its not throwing it into nuetral i care about but i cant get the damn thing smogged with the ceck egine light on. i had a pre-smog done and everything passed exept the damn check engine light

Why?

Throw it into neutral. Then it will have no impact on your brakes at all.

Also, you likely need to have the IAC adjusted. It's not a matter of just replacing it. I did that with one of my cars, and it had the same exact symptoms yours does. Took it to the dealer, explained that the IAC needed adjusted, and it was fixed in about half an hour, for $40.
