A chat room banned me and recorded my IP address...?

If you said you would shoot up your school or make bombs it is possible you get a visit from plod.

Use Tor to mask your traces if need be unless you are a terrorist in which case forget what I said :/

Edit - If you did and said nothing what's the problem? They have nothing.
 
It said it might send it to the police if it's illegal or something?

Does that mean they automatically sent it to the police and will I get arrested?
I didn't do anything, and since it was a chat room I didn't even say anything either.
No, I did not say i would blow something up.
 
Unless you did something illegal such as: threaten someone, child porno, computer hacking, or in anyway involve the discussion in something that could be or could be construed as felonious activity, they will just keep your IP recorded and ban you.

Most websites that you visit have your IP address anyway. So unless you did something wrong, don't worry about it. Find another chat room. There are plenty out there.
