Anyone else think that a possible, secondary reason (besides the fact that digital is more 'efficient') for the digital conversion is so the government can track more of what people are watching? It could help their domestic intelligence. We already know they want to keep track of what books we buy or check out and our purchases, as well as our phone calls. I think it helps the NSA, but I don't know. What do you think?
To Angela: The reason they could care is because there are shows on TV that are politically controversial, just look at the History Channel when they put things on about Osama bin Laden. Don't you think the NSA would like to know what American citizens are interested in learning about bin Laden?
