a few people told me i should not travel alone to African countries, why is that?

I look foreign.

So is it specifically dangerous to go to African countries alone only if you are a foreigner or a woman, or only both?

If it is only so bad for women, as people say, then how do Native African women walk around alone?

This really bothers me.

I'd like to visit there, but majority of people tell me not to that it might not be safe. This is also sad.

And the people who told me to not go were Native Africans so the are probably not just making it up.

Because that is a sensible advice as to women should not wear provocative dress to avoid rape.

there are tribal wars, hunger disease systematic rape. you don't want to go Morocco, Egypt alone either. go with a group only. in fact a young woman is duck soup, don't travel alone, anywhere. Do some research before you go. There's plenty of information on the web.
