Well, I have a few questions about a Siberian Husky as you can tell.

I have always wanted a Siberian Husky, ever since I was little. I personally wanted it so it could pull me around in my sled when my siblings couldn't! But now that I am older I realize there are much more benefits of having such a beautiful dog.

I will most likely NOT get a Siberian Husky anytime soon, as my parents don't really want me to get one. But hey, you never fully know ;). So here are my questions:

1) About how much do you think it would cost for ALL dog supplies, including the purebred Husky ( I know, I know, it can depends a lot but I will buy from a reputable breeder, not a pet store.) And, how much do the average shots cost if it is not already vaccinated (Plus spay/neuter.)

2) When a dog is $500-&750 does that typically mean it's already spayed\neutered?

3) I know Siberian Huskies are very independent little creatures, as they love to run free and are great escape artists! So, I was wondering if one of those 'shock electric fences' would work good. (One of those fences that if they pass it they get shocked) These are typically $250ish? I would REALLY like to find answers to this question from someone that has had experience with this. Thanks.

4) What would you recommend for the best dog food?

5) If it's possible to get 2 Siberian Huskies would you reccommend it? Why? **(Other than the obvious: company)**

6) If I were to get a Siberian Husky now, it would not be able to live inside. (Big parent NoNo) So my options are...? Garage. I was wondering if this is a suitable place for a dog. I figured it's not as nice as a house, but it has to be better than outside? Right? Also, is this a very bad ideal? Could it destroy a lot of things? I would be able to let it out frequently.

And last... my situation:

Like I said earlier, I have always wanted a dog, mostly a Siberian Husky, but I'm not sure if now is the greatest time to buy one if I'm able. I am a freshman in highschool at the moment. The earliest I could get a Siberian Husky is in the summer. By that time, I'd only have about 3 years to enjoy my dog before I leave for college. And of course... the bad part:

My parents aren't much of animal lovers. Sure they like them, but caring for them is something they'd rather not do, which is why they oppose having a dog so much. What I'm worried about is that when I go off to college, will my dog be taken care of? Of course they would feed and water it, not with joy, but they would. Only thing is if they don't give him enough exercise and avid play time. I would be home some from college, but not enough to cut it. Opinions? :)

Well, thanks in advance for answering my questions and for reading this whole thing, if you did :)! If I get more I'll be sure to post them here. Thanks so much! :D

P.S. Most like I won't get a dog until I am out of the house. It's too long to wait! :( Have most of HS + College. ARGH!

And I also will ready and study a lot more about this magnificent breed, as it's important to know what you're getting into.

Your Friend,
Joey! :D
