A friend wants to revert to Islam but wishes to reject all prophecy he does

not agree with? I told him that was acceptable because all the other Muslims do that same thing. Should I have told him to hold out and be different from the others who the prophecy says are wrong?
 
Only God knows the future.
If God gives somebody any particular information about future then he knows it. Other wise no human have any kind of knowledge of future incidents.
Islam does not allow believing people who speaks about future or like that.
Islam is not for prophecy.
Islam is a set of rules, regulations, laws etc how human is to lead their life on earth.
Islam is a set of orders what to do, how to do and what not to do.
Islam makes human society cultured, civilized and peaceful.

Convert - not revert. No one is born muslim, that is a preposterous concept. Most people pick and choose the bits of organised religion that suit them, nothing wrong with that. There is much in Islam that needs to be rejected in order to fit in with the modern world. If he disagrees with much of islam there are plenty of other religions to choose from, all equally barmy
