I don't want to give too much away but I want to write a story about two relatives who witness the death of two people they really care about at a very early age. One of them goes into a repressed memory state and forgets that it ever happened. The other is so shocked that they go into a state of Catatonia for several days. The two are taken in by guardians and are separated for years. Both have taken completely different paths. One stands for justice and liberation. The other stands for vengeance and power. They don't recognize each other at first because one has amnesia and the other thinks the other is dead. The sequence goes like this. ( Childhood friends, separated, unrealized meeting after several years, enemies, one defeated, realized reunion, separate ways but now allies, one captured by main antagonist, the other attempts to rescue, together again, both hone their skills to defeat main antagonist.
Does this sound like a reasonable and believable story-line?
