and soon enough we'll all be there I can just see it a bunch of 50 year olds on MAP, It strikes me as funny cause the forum is called family friendly but its audience is mostly adults.

On the subject of children I have a verse for all of you. It says in the bible to MOURN the birth of a child, but to celebrate death.

This is one of those interpreting verses, but basically the child is in a nice warm place in the mothers body, it's protected and then it comes out into a world of war, problems, heartache, etc. Death is easy. You go home (from my belief anyway) where there is no suffering, no tears, no pain, nothing bad like that.

Well I can understand it from that point ofview. A fetus hasnt well experienced anything yet (except maybe whatever crap the mother put into her body or if the person she is in a relationship with was an abuser and hit her) so a fetus wouldnt be like Thanks be to Jesus, I'm out of this heckhole" like a adult who experienced a lot of suffering might think.



Yes, it is.

And cool, we're pretty much the same age.

But i absolutely dont think of a childs death being more worthy of grief and an adult's death as less. Its all tragic. Hurt is hurt. I climbed over a thread here about sandy hook where someone wrote as its tile rip children of sandy hook and I said what about the adults who died? and someone actually wrote children are more important than us. WHAAAT? so if I was a vtcim of a brutal crime, and so was a child, its like heh, Screw me, a CHILD GOT HURT!!

The relatively helplessness and lack of emotional maturity with a child is what makes it more despicable

Is assaulting a 250lb offtopic fighter the same as assaulting a 85 yr old woman?

Precisely - the targets lack of ability to defend/deal with a threat is inherent. A child has neither the physical nor emotional capacity to deal with a Sandy Hook compared to an adult. It is always tragic when someone is killed, no one disputes that - but a weak, innocent target who have barely even begun to recognize that bad things can happen and have the universe of potential ahead of them? That's worse

Sorry Blade but I cannot see your point of them being equal - both tragic, certainly, but equal? No

I didnt say they were equal - but equally tragic. Equal in that sense. When my mom and her siblings lost their 19 year old brother and some decade later, their dad in his 50's, they felt the same grief and loss. They werent, Well, im gonna cry over the brother more because hes younger and didnt live long enough. ( also dont believe kids are innocent either - there are enough stories about kids who do bad things and they do know the difference though yes the law treats minors different, and thats correct, they are not adults - but I think its absurd to call them innocent - but thats another topic. )

But this happened to me, and I blew up at an ex fb friend for doing it. When i complained on my fb that a guy stood me up for like the 9th time and I finally got rid of him for good, Not a word from this fb user. But when a kid did it to her daughter, suddenly its a tragedy and she had to put it on her wall. Screw me right, my CHILD! and she said my child is only 7 and she dont understand about why people do such things - well neither do I! I dont understand why he did that to me. Im not 7 but why is her hurt worse? I dont understand it either why people do bad things! Especially cause I was nothing but kind to this guy. Even when he came out as bi and had troubles finding out who he was. I was there forh im when he wanted to talk. But this ex fb user had not a word for my fb post. I got rid of her.

They have experienced (hopefully) love, happiness and friendship and at the age they were a growing sense of wonder, fascination and interest in the world around them

Unfortunately, lots of people who clain to like kids and even have their own kids, abuse kids. I know its out of a sense of revenge and not real justice, but i hope people like that share a cell with Bubba.

Yes they do - it isn't conceptual to them, they laugh at things they cry when hurt and they look to big people for comfort and safety. They know that as their reality - I can tell you that just from having a 2 year old

Aborting the child is not OUR place to say. If you want to go by my belief on it, then you are taking the role of God and thus... are sinning.

Well, considering that I do, regularly, in the original language, and have done so for my entire adult life, I'd say I have a pretty good understanding of what it says and how to interpret it.
