Well that's up to the person. One who doesn't want to believe that maybe there MIGHT be something past death is going to try to rationalize that it's not real no matter how much proof there might be. The truth is, if you need proof to believe, then you are not using faith, which is what God wants. I've just posted this because I thought some would find it interesting, but I did expect responses such as yours and expect there to be many more. If you don't want to believe, hey that's fine. It's everyone's right to believe how they want. It doesn't mean it's true or untrue.
If I were to say, well if I have complete and total proof that there isn't a God, then what is the point of living and being a good person? There really is none. For what? To be remembered fondly? What does that do for you while your rotting corpse is in the ground? You don't know people think of you fondly, obviously you can't care. Some do things for legacy... but here again, what good is a legacy if you don't know anything about it?
