Zechariah said something about the man called the branch (not the whole tree) he would grow up out of his place (goin up to the spirit in the sky) and the counsel of peace would be between them both.
Right hand is a figure of speech as God has no actual hands or sides, front n back as he is spirit. It is said so that we might understand his position of importance. He has replaced Lucifer as the most powerful of Angels. "I am the light..." He is now our undying High Priest and we need no others. Nobody has to bring us to God, we are reconciled by his death and resurrection. Priests just try to learn your secrets and other things not fit to mention.
We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God,
eternally begotten from the Father, God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God, begotten, not made, of the same substance as the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered, died, and was buried.
On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father
With the Father and the Son he is worshipped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.
Matthew 20.23
20
8 Then the mother 9 of the sons of Zebedee approached him with her sons and did him homage, wishing to ask him for something.
21
He said to her, "What do you wish?" She answered him, "Command that these two sons of mine sit, one at your right and the other at your left, in your kingdom."
22
Jesus said in reply, "You do not know what you are asking. 10 Can you drink the cup that I am going to drink?" They said to him, "We can."
23
He replied, "My cup you will indeed drink, but to sit at my right and at my left (, this) is not mine to give but is for those for whom it has been prepared by my Father." ( Father/ Son/ Holy Ghost. John.1.1. God Hospodoes.
TO SIT AT THE RIGHT OR LEFT IS ONLY PREPARED BY THE FATHER AND IS UNKNOWN:
As I recall. Jesus does sit at the right hand of god, physically, but also more metaphysically. Figuratively, Jesus is God's right hand man, although he is also God himself. Its another way of saying, Jesus and God are one.
