acer aspire 3050 with bluetooth?

i have an acer aspire 3050 with windows vista.. It has the bluetooth and wireless lan buttons on the front.. But when i try to turn on the bluetooth it will just say NO DEVICE.. Do i need to buy a bluetooth radio or just download a driver? I am confused bc if my laptop didnt have bluetooth why would it hav the bluetooth button.. Can any 1 help me?
