acura integra or honda civic eg hatch?

im 16 and have a job and saving all money except for 50$ insurance and gas.. i have a 93 escort right now worth like a grand and i want to save for one of these cars and im wondering which car is better faster and will be easier and cheap to fix up.. and DONT suggest other cars i have my mind on only these
 
Definitely the intregra Type R or the one with the Vtec engine. The intregra has more power/handling. You can go further with mods later on with the intregra. The Civic has plenty of aftermarket support too. The civic is to common they are everywhere.
 
faster will be the hatch but all around manuevring the integra, by far, great car especially the wide body 92 if you can find it the integra GSR
