I don't quite get the difference between an advertising and a marketing major. My school offers an advertising degree through the journalism department, besides online specialization, magazine, and broadcast. A lot of people get marketing minors with this apparently. First of all, what's the diff between an advertising major and a marketing major? Could I do marketing jobs with an advertising major (Like, sort of business adminish stuff?) Also, is an advertising major good for the future? (I.e. good job prospects and decent pay?) Thanks!
