The scenario is this: 1 internet hub, 2 signal boosters (1 upstairs, 1 down), 4 computers (3 wireless, 1 ethernet, all in different rooms).
2 possible solutions:
1.Each connects independently to the internet through the hub, or
2. They all share a network via a 'host' computer
My questions are
a. Which would you recommend for the purpose of speed, connectivity and performance (file sharing is not an issue, just internet access)?
b. If the 'host' computer goes down, would that mean the others would be unable to connect to the internet?

Just in case it makes any difference - it's a BT homehub (not sure of specs) connected to broadband. Signal boosters are the plug-in type that boost wireless signal.
