After I come back from a cruise, do I need the visa to reenter the U.S.?

I am an international student, and I want to go to a Eastern Caribbean cruise, we will go to:
Miami, Florida
Nassau, Bahamas
Fun Day At Sea
St. Thomas, U.s. Virgin Islands
San Juan, Puerto Rico
Grand Turk, Turks And Caicos
Fun Day At Sea
Miami, Florida

Because my U.S. visa will be expired during the cruise, so I was wondering if they will check my visa when I reenter the U.S. Anyone knows? Thanks a lot.
