I'm going on a cruise in April and was wondering how hard it is to sneak booze on. I planned on putting it in some water bottles and putting them in my checked luggage. Anyone ever done it or have any tips? How hard is it to do and how strict are they with things like this? Any help is appreciated.

the water bottle trick works if the cruise line lets you bring on water bottles.(not all do) if its carnival you can bring on water bottles, or vodka in water bottles if u want. they wont know. you can also bring on wine. or a wine bottle filled with liqiour. get my drift.also try out rum runners(google it) they have worked for me. just stuff them in your snorkling gear. have fun and dont worry about the haters

You dont really need to actually take any alchohol on a cruise cause the bar on there will set you up bro :D

Its not worth the trouble, you can't really sneak that much on anyway without really drawing notice. They say if you're caught you can be denied boarding and given no refund though I've never heard of this actually ever being done but you sure don't want to be the first example :) I'm not sure what cruiseline you're traveling but Norwegian lets you order liquor bottles for your stateroom, they aren't cheap but less than buying it by the drink at the bar. Cunard actually does let you bring your own alcohol on for use in your stateroom, but any wine brought into the dining room there's a corkage fee. Royal Caribbean is the worst, very juvenile rules, can't get prestocked liquor. Carnival is probably the same, I don't know never sailed them. So check your cruiselines policies.

You can't carry on any bottles, but you could put some in your checked luggage. Don't over-do it and do be discreet and you should be ok.
