Altec ADA885 Computer Stereo Subwoofer not working.?

I have a desktop with integrated audio. The motherboard is a GA-MA78GM-S2H and the audio should be a Realtek ALC889A chipset.
I was trying to hook up a Altec Lansing ADA885 system to it but i can't get the subwoofer to work. Every other speaker seems to work but the sub.

Anyone got any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
 
maybe your not hooking up the correct wires to the integrated audio ports, otherwise im not sure. is it a faulty subwoofer?
