i recently became intersertsed in alternative metal and know some artisrts like linkin park, avril, nickleback, green day, 10 years and my fav yet, 30 seconds to mars. i however need more. pllss suggests and plss dont say slipknot or led zepllein(BORING EXCEPT GATEWAY TO HEAVEN) not a forum by the way. answer

I wouldn't really consider any of those to be alternative metal... alternative rock, perhaps?
Some good alternative metal bands are Cradle of Filth and Children of Bodom, but based on what you've said, not sure you'd have any interest in those.
Some stuff you may like is Disturbed, Tokio Hotel, Nine Inch Nails, Thrice, etc.

Anyway, I'd suggest if not slipknot: Avenged Sevenfold (Almost Easy, Afterlife, Nightmare), Bullet for my Valentine (Your Betrayal, Waking the Demon, Scream Aim Fire), Killswitch engage (My curse, End of Heartache, Rose of Sharyn), and Protest the Hero (Sequoia Throne, Bloodmeat, Blindfolds Aside). Look up the songs in brackets, those are my favourites
