gadgets they have? I'm actually not that old - 40 - but I have looked at new cars and they have all these fancy radios that arent' even radios anymore - these things are like 5 inch touch-screens that do god-knows-what, and even the rear-view mirrors control all these things... and the steering wheel has like 1000 functions, and I can't understand it.
I just want to get in my car and drive.
The last new car I bought was 10 years ago, and I like the simplicity of it.
Am I just out of touch?

Well, I'm twenty plus years older then you are & have no idea why you would need a touch screen in a car... I even keep a teenager around to explain some of this stuff to me & I still don't get it. I can work every button in my 12 year old Grand Marquis, so I'm happy where I'm at....

LOL no your not an old fart. People just like different things. Just stay with the older models if its what you want.

my car has only lapbelts,so i must be really friggin old then.i am not technologically illiterate,im just tired of troubleshooting 6 hrs to find out what i do.i work on my parents vehicles,my kids vehicles,my friends vehicles, customers vehicles, etcits a breath of fresh air to remember fuel, fie, spark.

You're a little out of touch, but these things happen to everyone. Most 40 year olds are perfectly fine with navigation technology in cars, and you should probably get used to it. You're in touch enough to use the internet properly, but you should try and go to a dealership and see what the devices do. You may actually like them.
