I purchased my Mom an Android Tablet for Mothers Day- so obviously she has not gotten it yet. It is a Polaroid Internet Tablet. It does not include an app store. I have downloaded an apk of Google Play for it so that when she opens it on Mothers Day I can install the app store.
Will this even work to load the app store? That tablet is know to be partially unlocked but no root administrative access. I would assume though- as I have done it with my HTC Amaze, to download an apk pack online and unpack it with the Gingerbread OS (this tablet will also have Gingerbread) and load it, should make it work. Any ideas or experiences?
