I know the hype is surrounding Cam Newton but seriously can this guy really be R.O.Y even though Dalton has lead the Bengals to a shocking 6-3 record. Here are some stats to help you guys answer.

Newton: 197/327 - 2,605 - 11tds 10ints // 7 rush tds
Dalton: 173/287 - 1,866 - 14tds 9ints // 2 rush tds

Both are 60% passers

right now, you would need to give the edge to dalton in my opinion because hes 6-3. cam is what? 2-6? 2-7? and look, hes a better qb in my opinion, but everyone does this to tim tebow and negate stats with wins and losses before he started this season so by virtue, shouldnt wee do the same for these 2 qbs?

I don't think it's a slam-dunk, but Cam looks like the winner so far. Record isn't that big a deal. Who do you think will have the better career? I'd say Cam. I like Dalton. I just think Cam is specialer.

Dalton is obviously much more important to his team at this juncture in time, I would go with him.

What do wins have to do with this award? Newton is the clear favorite right now, and it's not as close as what people are trying to make it out to be.

Attributing wins to a QB is one of the most idiotic recent trends in sports talk. The Pats won 14 games last year and had a bye in the playoffs, while the Lions won 5 games. Why wasn't that factored into the DROY when Suh won over McCourty? There are many more reasons to why the Bengals and Panthers have their records besides the QB.

I'm partial to Newton, but damn, Andy Dalton has been awesome! I say Newton right now, but if Dalton keeps it up and throws 22-25 TD's, 14-16 INT's and leads the Benglas to a 8-8, 9-7 (or maybe better?) record I say give it to him.
