Any athiests out there against abortion, or gay marriage?

ROFL abortion I could see some people being against it after a certain time, like I am, when the baby has a functioning brain and/or is viable outside the womb.... but being anti-gay marriage without being a religious bigot I just can't imagine.

My brother is atheist and against abortion and gay marriage. I used to be agnostic, and was against abortion and gay marriage then, as I am now.

Because we believe they are wrong.

Add: I believe my brother's gf is atheist and against abortion, but I think she supports gay marriage.

I am Atheist. I don't think a guy with a beard is hanging around in the sky to take my soul, as a matter of fact, what is a soul? christians think you can burn it , muslims think they can bang virgins with it??
anyway I think abortion is wrong but it's not my place to tell you what you have to do with your body, and I think gays are emotionally unstable, but again not my decision to tell you who you can have sex with.

I am agnostic, in other words an atheist with a brain, because you can't prove a negative and faith is diametrically opposed to the atheist way of thinking. I don't know what is out there, neither does an atheist because, again, you can't prove a negative.

Marriage is more than a religious ritual, it's a ritual as old as man kind, probably even the ones with Howard Dean eye brows. It exists in animals and it's a coupling which is based hormonally in sustaining a species. There are a lot of variables, but one constant is that it's about pro-creation, even if some of those who engage in it can't pro-create for some reason, the drive is hormonally based. Homosexuality is natural, but so are other proclivities which are perversions of the natural drive to reproduce. Putting that perversion in the same category as the age old rituals is just beyond disrespectful to what they are.

I have no problem with couples of any persuasion having the same rights as anyone else, but they are NOT the same, and to have them grouped in is so wrong on so many levels. It's like making the monalisa into a dog, or those nasty pictures with people mouths on dogs ... yuk!

I am pro-choice, but I am against abortions which are done after a baby could be viable with medical attention. Location doesn't matter logically. If a baby is killed that could be saved with medical attention, it's murder. No if ands or buts.

I believe everyone and anyone has the right to do ANY THING as long as it doesn't harm anyone else. THAT is what freedom is. Do you see that in this country? Hardly.

Gay marriage is a thing that pisses off churches- so as an atheist (with no allegiance to a church) I could care less whether two adults are in love and wish to get married. If a couple can get married just because the woman has a baby without really loving each other, two homosexuals should be allowed to as well.

As far as abortion- I wouldn't do it but I'm not exactly going to rush in and tell people to stop. It's the choice of the mother- if she wants to abort it (and hopefully donate the embryo to science) more power to her. Why spend my time moaning and arguing?
