I really like pop-punk and power-pop and alt, but I don't know that many (recent) bands. I like Green Day (well, they are recent, but yeah), for pop-punk the Ramones, Blink 182 and the Clash for that and then for alt I like the White Stripes, Cage the Elephant, Muse, and Coldplay.
