Anyime that my parents get paid there's always a controversy over money...

...what's the problem here? Well the thing is when one of my parents gets paid they put all their money in the bank, but the other parent only puts a partial pay in the bank. I would help with the bills, which I do pay some of the phone bill. Now my mom is telling me that she is going to cut back on stuff because I feel that my parents are always fighting over money. I don't think that it is right that a parent should punish their kids by taking away phone priviledges and less channels on the TV just because the parents can't get along and they fight like children. What should I do???
 
Times are tough right now and parents worries are very real. There could be many reasons behind their decisions. Support their decisions and be thankful for having what they are willing to give.

stop being a spoiled brat. your parents need to cut out somewhere so they can pay for the mortgage and put food on the table. when you are an adult you will understand.
 
Write out what you think would be a reasonable "budget/spending plan" and ask them to take a look at it and consider putting together a budget.

I agree you would think that at least ONE of your parents would get tired of arguing and think of SOMETHING else to do. Pretty immature that is for sure.
