I agree with everyone.
I used to love Twilight. Till i came to the sence that it was a pathetic, stupid story line.
With no meaning and no purpose.
I think is fine if people like it. But the Twilight fan club is a bit much, i mean they even think that vampres are real now xD
Pretty silly if you ask me.

I have red all the books. Because i loved them, once i got to the last book it hit me on how silly the book really is.
(I don't think you should go of your friends just because the like them TBH)
But anyway back to my point.
Is fine for teens if the want to think there is really guys like Edward they can. They are pretty sad. I mean i'm only fifteen and think the books are stupid.

And the worst new is that they are going to make films of all the books!
AND there is another book beeing made about the first book, but insted of Bella telling the story is going to be Edward!
Is Just an excuse for that woman to make some more money and brain wash childrens heads even more!
 
Well I personally am a twilight fan but I'm not going to cuss you or threaten you or anything like that because i do believe liking the book is a matter of preference. I just wondered why you are telling people to get a life when you are the one that felt the need to start an entire blog on the subject of one book you didnt care for?

I, Like Twilight alot, I am one of those crazy people who talk about it an awfull lot, But I do on the other hand think that it is OVER-ESTIMATED. Don't get me wrong, I Love it, but when people say it's the best book i've ever read, they DO need to get a life, either that or they haven't really read any other decent book, but may I say...Hate is a strong word. You oviously disslike it and get annoyed with those who go on about it, that doesn't mean that people should start forums to slag off Stephenie Meyer and her work,
and belive it or not, Some people may NOT like the books that you Like, They, however don't waste their time creating a "I hate "* forum now do they? I;m not judging your opinions, But I don't thing that there is ANY NEED 2 RANT!
 
There Is NOTHING Wrong With The Twilight Series, They Are AMAZING. A Classic If You Like. I WOuld Like To See You Stand Up In Front Of The 6 Million BRITIANS Who Bought It In A Single WEEK And Tell Them How Much You All Hate Twilight. Edward Is A Fictional Character And Girls Are In Love With The Man Who ACTS As Him, RObert Pattison.

Twilight is a good book

I think u r all crazy because TWILIGHT is the best serise (?) ever. I personally loved the story. I don't know what happened to make u hate it. I'm not saying u should love it but you should b a bit more open to it
 
mehh. twilight. ironically, i'm going to my friend's house to watch it 2night, but i haven't read the series. I doubt i ever will, because this Edward guy may seem all glorious, but he is NOT real. Anyway, the book seems stupid, in my opinion (which i am COMPLETELY entitled to, so, rabid-twilighters, don't kill me). Anyways, i'm glad some of you share my thoughts on "sparkly vampires" and all of that nonsense. =]

ugh. i hate how twilighters come in here. it's a place for those who DON'T like twilight.
ANYway, i have a theory: this book has some weird disease embedded in the pages that all girls catch. (this disease is similar to RABIES) lol. haha well this book is soo annoying. Bella is a helpless damsel in distress, and Edward is...a sparkly vampire. Need i say more? Honestly, if America calls this "good literature", I would like to know WHAT exactly is WRONG with them. However, I can see both sides of the story. I guess there are some ways it is likeable, because Edward is "sensitive".

Overall, there are better books out there, and girls just need to get a move on and forget about victional vampires. End of story. Thanks.

You, do, however, need to calm down a little bit. Just because some of us like a good, cheesy romance with a sweep-you-off-your-feet type of guy once in a while DOESN'T mean that we don't have lives, or that we are pathetic for liking the idea of a perfect guy. We know that boys like Edward Cullen don't exist - we don't disillusion ourselves THAT much - but we still like to pretend sometimes. I cried when I was reading the books. That doesn't make me a immature teenie bopper who wants to make out with a fictional character. It just means that I am getting caught up in the emotion of what I consider to be a good story. There's nothing wrong with getting caught up into a sappy romance sometimes.
But still, at least you were decent about hating on it. It really bugs me when people say that they hate Twilight and they haven't even read it. At least you read it, and got an opinion off of that.

You make a very good point, yes, I understand. I, myself, would probably get caught up in it as well. I wasn't saying you were an immature teenie-bopper, and I totally see where you're coming from. I just felt I needed to voice my opinion, and thanks for not ripping my head off like some people would. And when you say "we won't dillusion ourselves", that is the only part I disagree with. The girls at my school are completely in LOVE with Edward, and would do anything. I can see that they like the idea of being with a "perfect" guy, but it's getting a little out of control in some cases. Have a nice day!! ;]

2. No, I am not "mentally unsound" because I disliked it

There isn't anything to discuss within this topic. Twilight is a terrible book, and that is that. If you like it, good for you, I hope that when you get to college your professors will teach you a thing or two about actual literature. It's actually sad that this horror of a "book" has become such a phenomenon everywhere. Meyer's evil plot to take over the world is actually working, and it is scary. So many kids are falling for her evil plan, obsessing over something that is completely ridiculous and sends terrible messages to everyone. I'm sick of hearing about Edward Cullen and his posse, and I would really appreciate it if Meyer would stop writing so terribly altogether. Hopefully all the copies of Twilight will be given to a place I like to call the trashcan, and the world can become a happier place.

I have been to countless boards, stores, internet sites where I hear these young women praise this book as "The best book they have ever read." Isn't that tragic? That's the problem with today's society. Young women should be reading classics, empowering stories or at least something they can get something out of. All this book does is reinforce the notion that women need to be rescued and that there really is a Prince Charming waiting to be found and that once a girl finds him everything will be happily ever after from then on or if not that she’ll have a godlike amazingly handsome, immortal vampire dude that is willing to kill the world for you. I was at school the other day and actually saw two of my classmates including my TEACHER crying, yes crying about how Edward saved Bella at the end of the book and how much he really loves her and how cute it is, I of course in a daze, nearly fell off of my chair at how pathetic they sounded HE’S A FREAKIN BLOODY FICTIONOUS CHARACTER, PEOPLE GET A LIFE. I believe in love and I hope every girl who wants to find some amazing guy does but this book is complete nonsense and to hear a 46 year old English teacher dish about how much they love a "Vampire" just really depresses me.
Love isn't magic. There is no such thing as a fairytale and as much as I love the Little Mermaid to believe that's how it turns out with every girl would be a discredit to my intelligence! I would love to see people praise a classic like The Count of Monte Cristo or Pride and Prejudice, The Kite Runner, and A Thousand Splendid Suns. To enjoy a book of fiction or get lost in it is fine but to have faith in it to believe it's what you want for yourself (like marrying a freaking vampire!!! yes, I heard my teacher say she wants to marry this guy!!!) is just mind boggling. Perhaps I am just venting but why oh why is this book getting so much praise?!?!?!

Wanna hear my theory that is almost guaranteed to tick off every Twilight fan within hearing distance? here goes: Edward say tht Bella's blood is like a drug, right? And Edward doesn't want to turn Bella into a vampire, right? It's because Edward is a druggie. He likes getting high off of the smell of Bella's blood.

That is the most foolish thing I have ever heard.

The idea that you, or anyone, is willing to KILL someone because they think a book that you like is a useless pice of crap, which I agree with, is so so STUPID. I am sorry, it is extremely childish.
Now, I have read the series. I read the first three books last year, and I thought they were good, cute, but I got over them. Now, I think they are horrible. When I tried to read the fourth one earlier this year, I thought it was atrocious. I hated it so much. And not to mention how awful the movie was....

I also want to say that girls will NEVER find an Edward Cullen, and that there is no vampire that will live for ever and take care of you, and give you everything you want.
Personally, this encourages girls to fall in "love" with guys at a young age, when what they truly are experiencing is nothing but a one time thing. Besides doing that, I also think this will encourage girls to find a guy, marry him straight out of high school. Which is so DUMB, especially if you will have a baby at such a young age.
I think, this book is a horrible example. And If I had children, I would NOT let them read this book.

Finally!! other people that agree! I absolutly HATE Twilight, it made me cringe throughout reading it and I basically got attacked by a group of fan girls for saying I hate it. I feel like screaming every time I hear the word and have to see all the books being over advertised. The charaters aren't well devolped at all, their complete Mary Sues, I mean come on NO ONE can be as 'perfect' as that stupid Edward Cullen, it is sooooo predictable and plotless.I read this when I was 14 and hated this book. Does anyone else find all the Fan Girls overbearing?, I mean is a book worth getting so riled up over. And I swear half the people who read Twilight have never even touched any of the Classics with a barge pole.
I have nothing against people liking this book, I just wish they would stop talking about it constantly and getting do angry if someone 'dares' say they don't like it.
 
The Twilight Saga had got to be one of the worst written books in this day and age, the charaters are complete Mary Sues with no flaws at all, and no being clumsy can not be classed as a flaw. The plot line was very predictable and poorly written in such a way that it got boring after the forst 20 pages and my god does any one else find Bella the most whiney,annoying, mindless charater you have ever read, all her thoughts revolve only around Edward and instead of getting over it when Edward left she became sucidal just to hear 'his' voice, it gets even worse when she turns into a Vampire, because then she's not even clumsy shes completly perfect, she threw away the chance to get into DARTMOUTH, I mean I'm not from America but even I know that place is like Englands Oxford, just so she could get married and live happily ever after, this book doesn't set a good example to young girls, its almost like the book is telling them that you don't have to be independant in life, because if you don't have a man you incomplete, I hate this book with a burning passion and hate whats it turned young girls into, cults that actually issue death threats if you say that you didnt enjoy the books, I'm only 15 and I swear if I have to hear the word Twilight again I'll go f**king crazy.
