I hate twilight too

I am with you. I went to the Movie expecting something great after seeing all the hype and it was nothing special at all. Passable Script, poor acting, poor director and generally a B Grade movie. I can not understand the following but in saying that the Bold and the Beautiful and Days of our lives still have an audience so the lovers of this load are probably the same ones that dont really require a solid script just a lot of pouty shots. The only part that was almost interesting was when James turned up at the Baseball game.

twilight saga rants...

lol.

just to clarify...
1. i've read twilight and new moon... also almost finished with the third book...
2. i'm going to keep reading just for the sake of knowing what the fuss is about and create critics because i can
3. i did like it, while it lasted. i hv to admit... the book gets ppl easily hooked, so i can understand those obsessed fans...
4. i hv nothing against the movie (altho it was a tad corny, low budgetted, and had many flaws...it had its own special feel to it)
5. i hv nothing against the actors and actresses! i thought they played their characters well and looked brilliant...
6. i hv absolutely nothing against meyer
7. ur entitled to ur own opinions... but so am i

---

...unfortunately i really hv to rant

WHAT THE FUCK is with children reading twilight? WHAT THE FUCK is with their parents? WHAT THE FUCK is with old ladies reading the book?

my conclusion...
1. horny children
2. ignorant parents
3. horny old ladies that hv either never been laid/ hv not been laid in a while/ desperate housewives

more rant-ing...
yes... edward is described unrealistically... and we can all hv our own fantasies of the perfect guy, which in this case is a vampire.
though...i have to ask... wht makes edward such an interesting character really? he's an old man... stuck in a 17yr old body... apparently sparkles under sunlight and his skin is ice cold and pale. (btw, dont u just want to skin him alive and sell his spakling body? he'd be worth quite a bit). in my opinion...
1. edward's character is wayyy to predictable and def. not original
2. his old age and young body has turned him into a paedophile

...and then there's bella..... btw, just to clarify again, i hvnt read up to the fourth book... but apparently it turns gory and involves multiple sex, with bella begging edward for it.
im sry...but this shld not be a childrens' book! this is where teenage pregnancy bcomes a problem in our society....... they're freaking being taught how to start and end sex!!! i.e. ripped pillows... wtf... really~!!

ah... jacob... he was...and prob still is my fav character... but really... i hv to rant abt him too... jacob black is a teenage hormone machine.

i hv more critics.... but that'll hv to wait...

Rambling on

ive heard of twilight, but ive never seen one of the books let alone read it. ive heard people talk about it and the thought of watching the movie makes me feel i dont diserve to be male. Women get hung up an fantaize about almost anything appealing, weather it be a boy, some clothes, money, power, a car or even in the case of twilight an appealing fictional life style.
Wtf is up with her falling in love with a vampire, shouldn't he have his teeth round her throat tearing out her jugular the 1st chance he gets. Thats wat vampires do isn't it?
Wtf is going on
Who eva wrote this story used minipulated it to get teenage girls to fantasize and long for the life style. From what ive heard, its just hundreds of pages of writing about a faulse life style every average girl wants. A life style where they dont do anything for themselves, in the case the vampire guy does everything for her, a life style where this perfect magical prince charming comes along, a life style where you can ignore all the horrors and evil things going on in the world and instead of focuses on helping to improve the pretty fucked up world we already have, these girls just focuses on trying to be the girl from the book.
Sorry if i sound like im taking this too seriously, but theres are some many things now days which get soo much credit when they dont diserve it simply because they just write what people wanna hear. This ignor all the bad stuff and make a prettty little fantisized world that sooo many people love, because soo many people are stupid. It reinforces all these idealistic views people have, when we should be focusesing on, being sucessful in life, helping our fellow brothers out, being kind to animals and cleaning up the planet, we should be focusing on soo many other things.

i tried reading it and felt like a whore at the end of the night, unsatisfied and wanting to know when this will end. i thought it would get better as it progressed but no it continued to suck and eventually went over the edge and down right blowed. this is not the best book ever writen by any means. i wouldnt even say the best book of the year, month week or even day. it is to obvious in where it is going, the story is god awful, and the characters are completely unbelievable. honestly, a new girl is instantly liked by all and the guy truly, TRULY loves her? i mean when your a teenage boy all you think about is getting your weasel waxed and he is the one exception. complete B.S. this book sucks, don't read, don't think about reading it, don't even think about it period.

I TOTALLY AGREE! I am a 15 year old girl, and I absolutly hate and dispice it. My friends have read all four and I could tell you the story line of each, and I've only read the first one. Their love and adoration of it has caused me to really really hate it. It's terribly written, the story line isn't fantastic, and honestly, I'd rather hang myself than read the next one.

I've just finished Twilight, and I have to say, no book has moved me as it has. No other book has had me trawling the web, desperately searching to see if anybody else... had realised how bluidy awful it was!! argh! What is with everyone?? I mean, there are worse books, but I've never seen one so bad be so popular. Twilight is one of the few instances where the movie is BETTER than the book (and the movie wasn't that great).
(sure no-one will ever read this, 'cos you're all over it now, but I had to vent)

Wow! I am terribly happy to read these comments as I am totally frustrated with that crappy book and my brain seems shrink a little after the first 10 chapters.
Twilight is an insult to my pride of being a girl, oh dear. My friends call me an art snob for criticize it. YES I AM! And I despise this book – a waste of time, I am proud that I hate it.

A 100+ YEAR-OLD VAMPIRE FALLS IN LOVE WITH AN IMMORTAL BECAUSE SHE SMELL GREAT – SHE FALLS FOR HIM BACK BECAUSE HE’S HOT. HERE BORN AN EPIC LOVE STORY.

Anyway there are many actors and models who are handsome. Plus they are REAL, why drool over a cheaply, poorly made toy-boy vampire like that dumbass Cullen??? He might be a hero to his girl, but he’s a total fake. He behaves exactly like what a (12-year-old) girl wants (appears in the nick of time, always listens to her whining, stalks her 24/7, watches her sleeping – if a guy breaks into my room at midnight to watch me sleeping I'd call the police) and well he CHUCKLES all the time like a retarded. He sparkles in the sun, he has perfect strength and perfect voice, perfect face, perfect body bla bla bla…

But the whole point is what are Vampires like? Stephenie Meyer: God-like creature that shines in the sun like diamonds, can swing from tree to tree. Some are vegan and friendly, but beware of suckers over albinos.

Bella Swan – was that an implication of “Beautiful Swan”? She must be terribly beautiful, as a newcomer in her school she is clumsy and bland but she has a collection of boys after her. Wow. She has no dreams, no ambitions, no interests, no talents, very self-centered, always needs to be saved by someone, has nothing to do with herself. Well, may Mrs. Meyer be right about that, her character suits some people well: clumsy little hopeless girls who always think they are special, dreaming of being chased by horde of boys and BUMP! Here comes an Undead Prince Charming who is wonderfully handsome, always bleeding in time to save her and loves her crazily and… Wow, get a life. I can't stand that ideas.

Well, all what is matter to Bella is how hot Edward is: his golden eyes, his masculine chest, his superb hair and bla bla bla don’t you think that is REAL LOVE? Why I got so angry? This book is white trash – a crappily pathetic, sentimental, pointless kind of under-15 romance being comparing with Shakespeare’s or Bronte sisters’ classics. It is for these people only:

1 – Girls under 15 who have absolutely no idea about good romance or vampires.
2 – Girls above 15 who have desperately no boyfriend nor fans and need a guy to gush about.
3 – People who terribly mind reading Bram Storker’s Dracula.

It's an amazing book. It let's you go into a place where you have the sexiest boyfriend ever. It's full of drama and love. And maybe that's what some of us need to make our lives happier. There's nothing wrong with liking it. I mean I love Edward Cullen. If he asked me out I would say yes in less than a heartbeat. I can't wait for MidNight Sun to come out. People have a right to love. I don't matter if I love Edward Cullen or not. AND I DO!!

I really hated the book as well. I mean, it was so unoriginal, so impossibly predictable, it made me want to gather all the Twilight books in the world in one big heap and burn them all to a sinder. And all the main characters were so helpless that I wanted to throw them all in traffic. It was like a poorly written 13-year-old's fanfiction.
And to the person who made the first post: I read 'A thousand splendid suns' last week, it was awsome!

I am soooo happy that I've found someone that hates this story to bits like I do! Twilight was a load of crap. This book isn't meant for anyone that thinks deeper into things. I have to admit, the first time I read this book I went crazy, and i read this book b4 it was popular FYI. And I first read it when i just turned 13. I also wanted all of my friends to read it too. But I could admit that it left a bitter taste in my mouth even though this thing was like my angsty-bible.
The only thing good about the series is the covers and thats about it. Bella is a horrible character, at first she is independt, cooks for her dad, good grades, etc. but when edward appears, it all crumbles down. And to add that she is the LAMEST character in all of history. She is boring, stuck up, stupid, achieves As when she doesn't even understand the topic, doesn't think of anything but Edward, only loves him because he was "perfect" and hawt. She couldn't even kiss him properly without passing out or going wild.
She is loved by practicully every guy in the school and is just sooooo "annoyed" at that, and she doesn't consider anyone's feelings except hers. Did I mention her being stupid? And yes, those rumors you heard about the series getting worse and worse is absolutely true.
Edward is a stalker. He stalked her before they were even going out. He pretty much said "Oh when you don't have a life and can't sleep, I found you intresting and just decided to watch you sleep outside of your window in a tree." He doesn't consider Bella's thoughts (not that many folks) when she tries to explain something. He carries her around "literrally" like a baby.
And wtf is soooooooooo forbidden about their "love" anyways. Oh that Edward is a big ole scary stalker not-so-mysterious vampire? Or that Bella is less than the brainless crusty scab on my dogs hind leg? IDK, it befuddles me. Why would someone sooooo perfect as Edward want a girl like that anyways. I could say his taste isn't perefect...
The endless descriptions of Edward being so hawt and so perfect is very VERY irritating. Ok, we got it the first 30 times, seriously move on!
There was an interview with Smeyer saying that this was a dream or that she had a dream that a vamp and a human firl were discussing on how their relationship would work. I honestly think that that dream had smeyers head plastered on the body of the girl making googoo eyes at the oh so perfect vampire.
This series is the worst book I've ever read. And all you screaming fan girls seriously need to start using that ole brain of yours and think deeper on the book.

I heard about this this year.
I live in a small town and fortunately there was no "Edward Cullen is so adorable!" crap until late 2008 when the movie came out. Then there was "I love EDWARD CULLEN!" "Twilight is awsome!" Crap, I hope to dear god that we read either Dexter, a Steven King book, Greg Iles, or anyone like that.
Please god, let there be no twilight.

Finally, someone who agrees with me!

I absolutely HATE Twilight! I think that it is poorly written and everyone (vampires and non-vampires) are too perfect. I also think that Stephanie Meyer should have at least used ONE traditional description of vampires (I don't usually like tradition, but Meyer should at least have given them fangs). There are TONS of books out there that are better than Twilight. Twilight doesn't even have a lesson or message, it's just a load of poinlessness. Even Stephen King's "Carrie" has a message, but Twilight's got nothing beneficial in it.

On a side note, there's one other thing that really annoys me; the obsessive fans. 1) Even before the movie, when I asked people why they loved Twilight so much, they would say "Edward's soooooooooooooooo hot! I'm gonna marry him!!!" I think that's just crazy. Edward DOESN'T exist! People don't seem to realize that. 2) The person (maybe there's more than one, I didn't read every response) on this thread that said they would kill you for not liking Twilight is a totally immature idiot! There is nothing more annoying than someone who says "Be exactly like me or else!".

oh thank god.
i typed this into google, to make sure i wasn't the only one out there who hated twilight.
that girl who seems to be a fanatic, needs to understand that twilight not only has less value than toilet paper, but also makes little girls believe that in high school you can fall in love with a gorgeous and perfect guy, he won't want to have sexual intercourse until you are married, and better yet he sparkles!

to the twilighters.

there is no such thing as edward cullen, i emphasise the point 'FICTIONAL CHARCTER'
i myself was fourteen when i read the twilight series, i can honestly say at first i rather liked the idea, until it became infested with millions of little naive girls and millions more forty year old women who have nothing better to do than read absolute crap.

twilighters, you're only getting your hopes up.
if you look at it technically,
edward is a paedophile
and bella is a necrophilliac.

if you don't want to look at it technically then;
edward is abusive and bella is a moron.

do i need to say more?
