Look no offense but why is everybody getting so worked up over a book? Twilight Lovers I would like to remind you that not all people like the same things. If you allowed to love Twilight then why aren't some people allowed to hate it? everyone has different tastes, if everybody liked the same things the world would be very dull!! just because you don't like a book it does not mean you have no life or don't have a boyfriend/girlfriend, it just means you have a different opinion to other people. Also this is a website for People that don't like Twilight.You said yourself you 'personally' love Twilight meaning that that is your opinion, why should other people not holding the same opinion be attacked about it?? you like and millions of other people like it but there are some people that don't like it so prehaps you should accept that other people have their own opinion and don't we like being attacked because of what we believe.

I think alot of people are under the misconception that its 15 yr old 'fangirls' thats created this hype.

Im Australian and the hype has recently reached Australia.
Well Perth anyway.

So Im sitting on the train reading Interview with a vampire and a ticket inspectors checkin for tickets anyway she starts to chat with me.

Anyway. Apparently someone she knows runs a bookstore and hasnt met anyone who doesnt LUVVV the books.

Its not only that but the first reviews I ever came across for twilight were from males in their late adolescent (on YT) praising the romance in this book. [Probably trying to get laid =P]

Plus my male friend from school likes them and thinks that the movies don't do the book justice. His mum introduced him into the series. She's a twi-mom...lol

Not to mention that my english teacher (middle aged female) is doing PSA about twilight to encourage the international students to read them.

And every time in taking the train home from school who do i see reading these books?
Middle aged office ladies surreptitiously rubbing their thighs together. Ew.

I mean seriously i think we are giving 15 yr old girls too much credit.
We arent that sophistikated.

Twilight...

Nah I thought Twilight was pretty good, I thought it was very gripping, and the movie was good too, not amazing though. I'm 14 myself, and it kinda bugs me how every fricken person loves Edward Cullen now... like there are even facebook groups about him xD Although Robert Pattinson is hot... it does begin to get annoying.

And yeah, I think Stephanie Meyer did really well...I mean, the world seems to love this book now so it can't be thaaaat bad. But, everybody's entitled to an opinion right? : P

New moon in my opinion is pretty suckish and I stopped reading half way through out of boredom.

I totally agree!
Teenage girls should be reading such better books! Not wasting there time with this. Every Display picture, poster, SMS, etc. Is a picture somehow related to this book, for example a quote from an MSN picture " Forget A Prince With a Horse, I Want A Vampire With A Volvo". People dont grasp that fact that vampires arent real! And even if they were they arent "your friends". A man isnt going to instantly see you and fall in love with you with a click of your fingers! At the clothing store down the road from my house there is a new collection of tops including one that says " I kissed a vampire and I liked it!" Am I the only one in this world that finds that sickly! The reason Stephanie Meyer made Bella have no life is because any random girl can put herself in her shoes because she has no interesting parts of her. One of the most ironic lines I think is:
Bella: "Where are you going?"
Edward: "Hunting, its very dangerous!"
Bella: "Can I come?"
I think I have stated my point!
I cant change peoples opinon about this book but personally I think its just a waste of time!

I believe that everyone should be entitled to their own opinion, so fair enough if you don't like it.
But calling people stupid and ignorant for liking it is quite immature don't you think?
So what if people like to get lost in the books, isn't that what they're supposed to do anyway? You're meant to become immersed in the text, if it doesn't draw you in and make you feel as if you are there yourself, part of that world, then it's simply telling a story, anyone can do that. But to cause such an emotional reaction like the Twilight series has, to have such an amazingly large audience, one that threatens to overpower Harry Potter's, the books must be doing something right, surely?
