Anyone else besides me trying not to lol when you read explanations of the Big Bang?

See, I actually understand what I'm reading when I study something like the Big Bang.

Since you've been here long enough, and have undoubtedly heard a multitude of times that the Big Bang Theory says nothing of the sort, I can only assume that you are proud of being ignorant, and have no moral qualms with lying.

Yes, certainly, if not too appalled at the ignorance and lack of thought to laugh.

But a theory which survived a quarter of a century of informed scientific attack to emerge vindicated, that's something to have some respect for.
 
Yes, the straw man descriptions based on a faulty understanding are often hilarious. "Everything came from nothing!" "It was a big explosion in space that happened for no reason!" I'm chuckling right now.

That's what we're talking about, right?
