are athiesm and agnosticism religion?

what is actually the definition of religion? does it have to involve some sort of god?
what about stuff like wicca and satanism or whatever? whats all that?
also what the hell is scientology..? i need it in simple terms.. im tired lol..
are people when the say theyre not religious saying they dont believe in god or they're just generally apathetic to any thoughts on that sort of subject? like, is an athiest religious?
