Are cruises a good advisable vacation?

Cruises are way better than just flying and staying at a hotel for a week. With cruises, you get to go to multiple ports in the area. Theres TONS to do on cruises. Way more than there is at a hotel. Best part, especially for all those teens going, the food is ALL YOU CAN EAT included in your price.

I would go with Carnival because it's the cheapest, roomiest staterooms, and most fun.

I want to go on a vacation to the Carribbean this summer, but to fly to the island and stay there for a week is really expensive, and the only economical thing to do would be to take a cruise there. I was just wondering if my family would like it. I have a 17, 16, 15, and 14 year old going and 6 adults. Is there anything to do on the boats and how long are you in each port for? Any other vacation ideas are welcome too!
