Are Drops safe to use on the black iPhone 4S?

I recently purchased an iPhone 4S black and I cherish the device like no other, I bought the device a few short weeks ago and I just am now getting a case and screen protector (stupid to wait I know) and what happened is something that I expected but dreaded, the iPhone has picked up about 4 hairline scratches on the back. :( they are only visible upon close examination but the fact that they are there at all depresses me. I recently read about an electronic device safe scratch removal solution called iDrops. Since I'm OCD about protecting the phone and keeping it pristine I did my research like a good boy and found many people tout the product for its restoration of their blemished device to factory new quality, but I spotted the one negative review that I dreaded seeing, someone noted (afterthought DUH) that while the solution does remove scratches on the most recent generation iPhones (IE glass backed) it screws with the oleophobic coating on the device, removing it in its entirety! This is far worse than the scratches are to me; but I'm wondering if that individual simply applied the solution improperly, or if this is a sad truth about the product. Has anyone used iDrops to repair their black iPhone 4/4S and if so what results did you get? Are my fears justified or do I have no reason to worry? Thanks so much for any help! :)
