Are high school relationships that important?

I'm a senior, and the past 3 years I either didn't care about dating or was too shy to ask any girl out. Now it's senior year and I regret not stepping up my game earlier. This year I went to homecoming with a girl to see where my skills were at with women... and it was super awkward lol. the girl doesn't like me anymore.

But since then I've really improved my social skills by practicing with people and asking people questions about women. I've noticed that dating is a lot of hard work! Should I really go out and try to step up my game? Or should I not worry about it and zoom through my year?

If you think I should step up my game, can you give me advice at where to start? I don't want to wait for the right girl to show up in my life anymore. I want to be more aggressive! :)

Nobody can say it any better than Sara already did. Listen to her advice. Right on the money. And by the looks of her photo, you're getting advice from a very hot girl and you just cannot beat that!

High school dating doesn't really matter; plenty of people i know met in college and got married. But if you think it might be important than start by becoming friends with a couple of girls. Good luck, i'm a girl and still in high school and i don't date, cause i never find any guys that i really like. Also, get to know a girl before you ask her out. It's not so much fun when a guy asks me out when we only hung out a couple of times and i say yes anyways and i barely know him (even though we've known each other since 7th grade and used to be friends) So i doubt it would be fun if you were to ask a girl out and find out she's crazy or is a total yeah you know. good luck ~.~

The important thing in high school is doing well in school. Once you go to college pretty much everything that happened in high school goes "bye bye". Most likely you'll be with a completely new crowd of people and nobody is going to know your dating history.

But, if you want to date, by all means date. I just wouldn't let it trash your last year of grades before college applications etc.

I think its really cute that you wanna step up your game:) but its honestly not that important....some guys can go through 10-15 girls in high school and not even end up with one of them...It really depends on how comfortable you feel with dating at the moment...if your not ready then its not a big deal at all for sure you'll meet a lot of new people in the years to come.

I guess relationships in high school are important because they are your first awkward steps into dating. But aside from that I'm not so sure. I'd rather forget most of the girls I went out with in high school and I'm sure they'd rather forget me.
