Are Honda vehicles after 1995 OBD II compliant for reading codes for check

engine light problems? I am looking to purchase my own code reader and found one that says it works for all vehicles that are OBD II compliant and works on the following protocols: SAE J1850 PWM, SAE J1850 VPW, ISO 9141-2, ISO 14230 (KWP2000)

Would such a reader work on a 1996 or newer Honda vehicle?
 
Federal law required ALL vehicles in the USA 1996 to present to be OBD II compliant.

So, yes, it will work.
